Job Overview
This role involves designing cutting-edge VR experiences that blend technology with creative storytelling. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop immersive solutions for clients in sectors like tourism, education, and corporate training. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop virtual reality experiences using Unity 3D and other industry-standard tools
- Collaborate with creative directors and software engineers to prototype interactive environments
- Conduct user testing and refine VR applications for optimal engagement
- Integrate 3D models, animations, and audio assets into immersive experiences
- Stay updated on emerging trends in VR/AR technology and creative design
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Unity 3D, Unreal Engine, or similar VR development platforms
- Strong portfolio showcasing VR/AR projects or interactive media
- Experience with 3D modeling software (Blender, Maya, etc.)
- Understanding of user experience (UX) principles for immersive environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Digital Media, Fine Arts, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in VR/AR development are a plus.
Experience
3-5 years in VR/AR design, game development, or interactive media production. Experience in Botswana’s creative or tech sectors is advantageous.
Salary
30,000 – 45,000 SSP annually, commensurate with experience and portfolio quality.
