Job Overview

The Construction Project Controls Engineer will play a pivotal role in planning, monitoring, and reporting on the performance of construction projects undertaken by LafargeHolcim Botswana. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive project control plans, including cost, schedule, and scope management frameworks.
• Prepare and update detailed cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts for each construction phase.
• Monitor project progress against baseline schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent tools, and generate variance analysis reports.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, providing actionable recommendations to senior management.
• Collaborate with design engineers, procurement teams, and site supervisors to ensure alignment of project data and documentation.
• Produce weekly and monthly performance dashboards that highlight key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics.
• Support contract administration by reviewing change orders, variations, and claims for financial impact.
• Facilitate regular project control meetings, presenting insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with LafargeHolcim’s health, safety, and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in project control software (Primavera P6, MS Project, Asta Powerproject) and advanced Excel modeling.
• Strong analytical abilities with a focus on cost‑benefit analysis and risk assessment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear reporting to multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy.
• Knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and local regulatory requirements in Botswana.

Education

The successful candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline. Experience
