Job Overview
The Risk Analytics Manager will lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of advanced risk analytics models that underpin the bank’s credit, market, and operational risk strategies. Reporting to the Head of Risk Management, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including Credit, Treasury, Compliance, and IT, to ensure data‑driven decision making across the organization. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and validate quantitative risk models for credit, market, and operational risk.
- Analyze large data sets using statistical and machine‑learning techniques to identify emerging risk trends.
- Collaborate with business units to integrate risk analytics into product development and pricing strategies.
- Prepare comprehensive risk reports for senior management, board committees, and regulatory bodies.
- Maintain and enhance the bank’s risk data warehouse, ensuring data quality and governance.
- Lead stress‑testing exercises and scenario analyses aligned with Basel III and local regulatory requirements.
- Mentor junior analysts and promote a culture of analytical excellence within the risk department.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in statistical software such as R, Python, SAS, or MATLAB.
- Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks (Basel III, IFRS 9, local banking regulations).
- Experience with SQL, data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI), and big‑data platforms.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex quantitative findings into actionable business recommendations.
- Leadership capabilities and experience managing cross‑functional projects.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline is required. A master’s degree (MSc, MBA, or related) or professional certifications such as FRM, CFA, or PRM are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Applicants must have a minimum of five to seven years of hands‑on experience in risk analytics, preferably within a banking or financial services environment. Demonstrated experience in model development, validation, and regulatory reporting is essential.
Salary
The competitive salary range for this role is SSP 1,200,000 to SSP 1,800,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and incentives are also part of the total remuneration package.
