Job Overview

The Marine Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for orchestrating the end‑to‑end movement of cargo through Botswana’s land‑locked ports and neighboring seaports. This role involves close coordination with shipping lines, customs authorities, freight forwarders, and inland transport providers to ensure timely, cost‑effective, and compliant delivery of goods. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of maritime cargo from origin ports to inland destinations in Botswana.
• Prepare and verify all required shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and import/export permits.
• Coordinate with shipping agents, terminal operators, and inland carriers to optimize transit times and reduce freight costs.
• Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations, local customs laws, and Kuehne + Nagel’s internal policies.
• Provide clients with regular status updates, performance metrics, and proactive solutions to any disruptions.
• Manage exceptions such as cargo delays, damages, or regulatory holds, and implement corrective actions.

• Maintain accurate records in the company’s transport management system and generate reports for senior management.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of maritime freight operations, incoterms, and customs procedures.
