Job Overview

This role involves developing and implementing sustainable urban mobility strategies that align with Botswana’s Vision 2030 goals. The ideal candidate will collaborate with municipal authorities, transportation planners, and environmental experts to create scalable solutions for reducing traffic congestion, promoting public transit, and integrating green infrastructure into urban landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and evaluate urban mobility plans that prioritize pedestrian and cyclist safety.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for new transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Develop sustainability metrics to measure the environmental impact of mobility initiatives.
  • Collaborate with local communities to identify transportation challenges and co-create solutions.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders and government bodies.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in GIS mapping and urban planning software (e.g., AutoCAD, ArcGIS).
  • Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience in public-private partnership (PPP) project management.

Education
