Job Overview

Deloitte Botswana is seeking a Smart City Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of urban technology projects in Mochudi. This role will focus on integrating IoT, data analytics, and sustainable infrastructure to enhance city services and quality of life. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement smart city solutions, including IoT networks and data-driven infrastructure systems.
• Collaborate with municipal stakeholders to identify urban challenges and develop technology-based solutions.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for smart city projects.
• Ensure compliance with national and international urban planning and technology standards.
• Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, planners, and IT specialists.

Required Skills

• Expertise in smart city technologies, including IoT, AI, and urban data platforms.
• Strong understanding of urban planning principles and sustainable development practices.
• Proven experience in project management and stakeholder engagement.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Urban Planning, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s Degree in Smart Cities or Urban Technology is a plus.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience in smart city projects, urban infrastructure development, or technology integration. Experience in Botswana or Southern Africa is preferred.

Salary

150,000 – 200,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
