Job Overview
Maersk Botswana seeks a Supply Chain Sustainability Specialist to design and implement eco-friendly logistics strategies. This role will focus on optimizing transportation networks, reducing waste, and ensuring compliance with international sustainability standards. The position is based in Mochudi, a key logistics hub in central Botswana.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sustainability initiatives for supply chain operations
- Collaborate with suppliers and partners to reduce carbon footprint
- Analyze logistics data to identify efficiency improvements
- Monitor compliance with ISO 14001 and other environmental standards
- Prepare sustainability reports for internal and external stakeholders
Required Skills
- Expertise in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Knowledge of green logistics and circular economy principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Environmental Science, or related field
- Master’s Degree preferred but not required
Experience
- 3-5 years in supply chain or sustainability roles
- Proven track record in implementing sustainability projects
Salary
250,000 – 350,000 SSP annually, commensurate with experience.
