Job Overview

Huawei Botswana seeks a Network Security Specialist to design, implement, and manage advanced cybersecurity solutions for enterprise networks. This role is critical in safeguarding digital infrastructure against evolving cyber threats while ensuring compliance with international security standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze network traffic for potential security breaches using advanced threat detection tools.
  • Design and deploy firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols to secure network environments.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate system weaknesses.
  • Develop incident response plans and coordinate with cross-functional teams during cybersecurity incidents.
  • Stay updated on emerging cyber threats and recommend proactive security enhancements.

Required Skills

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certification.
  • Proficiency in network security tools like Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, and SIEM platforms.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and network protocols.
  • Experience with cloud security frameworks (AWS/Azure) and zero-trust architectures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity.
  • Master’s Degree preferred but not required.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in network security roles.
  • Proven track record in managing enterprise-level cybersecurity projects.

Salary

120,000 – 150,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
