Key Responsibilities
- Assess and investigate insurance claims submitted by policyholders, ensuring compliance with policy terms and regulatory guidelines.
- Gather and analyze supporting documentation, including police reports, medical records, and repair estimates.
- Coordinate with external adjusters, medical professionals, and legal advisors to obtain accurate information.
- Determine claim validity, calculate settlement amounts, and recommend approval or denial to the Claims Manager.
- Maintain detailed records of claim investigations, decisions, and communications in the company’s claims management system.
- Identify potential fraudulent activities and escalate suspicious cases to the Fraud Prevention Unit.
- Provide clear and empathetic communication to claimants regarding claim status, required documentation, and settlement timelines.
- Collaborate with underwriting and product teams to improve policy wording and reduce future claim disputes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements and automation opportunities.
- Support the preparation of periodic reports on claim trends, loss ratios, and operational performance for senior management.
