Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute digital storytelling strategies across BBC Botswana’s platforms.
• Create engaging video, audio, and written content tailored for social media, websites, and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with local journalists and international teams to amplify Botswana’s narratives.
• Utilize data analytics to optimize content performance and audience engagement.
• Stay updated on emerging trends in digital media and incorporate innovative tools into workflows.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
• Strong understanding of social media algorithms and content virality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Setswana.
• Experience with SEO best practices for digital content.
• Ability to work independently and in team settings under tight deadlines.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, or related field.
• Postgraduate qualification in Digital Media or equivalent experience is an advantage.

Experience

Salary

150,000 – 200,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
