Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Research Associate for our Gaborone office. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing and monitoring clinical trials across various therapeutic areas. You will ensure that all clinical trial activities are conducted in strict accordance with the protocol, standard operating procedures, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, and local regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting pre-study, initiation, routine monitoring, and close-out visits at clinical trial sites.
  • Verifying that informed consent is properly obtained and documented for all trial participants.
  • Reviewing source documents and case report forms to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Assisting clinical sites in resolving data queries and maintaining investigator site files.
  • Ensuring compliance with local regulatory frameworks and reporting adverse events.

Required Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and local clinical trial regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to travel frequently to clinical sites across the country.
  • Proficiency in clinical trial management systems (CTMS).

Education

Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy, Biology, Nursing, or a closely related life sciences discipline from a recognized institution.

Experience

A minimum of three to five years of direct experience in clinical trial monitoring or clinical research operations is required. Prior international CRO experience is highly advantageous.
