Key Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive smart grid architectures that integrate intermittent renewable energy sources with existing baseload power.
• Develop detailed technical specifications for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to mitigate grid volatility.
• Perform complex load flow analysis and stability simulations using industry-standard software.
• Lead the integration of SCADA systems for real-time monitoring and control of distributed energy resources.
• Coordinate with regulatory bodies to ensure all grid designs comply with Botswana’s energy laws and international IEC standards.
• Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams of electrical engineers and project managers.

Education

Experience

Candidates must possess 7 to 10 years of proven experience in grid architecture or power systems design, specifically focusing on the integration of renewable energy.
