Job Overview
The Data Science Lead will spearhead the design, development, and deployment of advanced analytics solutions that address complex business challenges for our clients in the Southern African region. Reporting to the Head of Data & AI, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, scalable models that generate actionable insights. Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end data science projects, from problem definition and data acquisition to model deployment and monitoring.
- Collaborate with clients to translate business objectives into analytical solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Develop and maintain machine‑learning pipelines using Python, R, Spark, and cloud platforms such as IBM Cloud and AWS.
- Mentor and coach junior data scientists, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Required Skills
- Expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.

Education

Experience
