Job Overview
Botswana Job Search is pleased to announce the availability of a Financial Inclusion Specialist position at Mastercard Foundation. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing programs that promote financial inclusion in Botswana.
The Financial Inclusion Specialist will work closely with local banks, microfinance institutions, and other organizations to develop and implement programs that increase access to financial services for low-income individuals and communities. The specialist will also be responsible for conducting research and analysis to identify opportunities for financial inclusion and to develop strategies for promoting financial inclusion.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in financial inclusion and economic development. The candidate will also have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement programs that promote financial inclusion in Botswana
- Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for financial inclusion and to develop strategies for promoting financial inclusion
- Work closely with local banks, microfinance institutions, and other organizations to develop and implement programs that increase access to financial services for low-income individuals and communities
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government officials, private sector companies, and non-profit organizations
- Provide technical assistance and support to local organizations to help them develop and implement financial inclusion programs
Required Skills
- Strong background in financial inclusion and economic development
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluency in English and Setswana
Education
Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, or a related field
Experience
At least 5 years of experience in financial inclusion and economic development
