Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainable Urban Planning Specialist to join our team in Francistown, Botswana. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable urban planning strategies that promote economic growth, social equity, and environmental sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sustainable urban planning strategies that promote economic growth, social equity, and environmental sustainability
- Conduct research and analysis on urban planning trends and best practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement urban planning policies and regulations
- Provide technical assistance and training to local government officials and community leaders on urban planning and sustainable development
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Urban Planning or related field
- 8-12 years of experience in urban planning and sustainable development
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with stakeholders
Education
A Master’s degree in Urban Planning or related field is required. A Ph.D. in Urban Planning or related field is an asset.
Experience
8-12 years of experience in urban planning and sustainable development is required. Experience in working with local government officials and community leaders is an asset.
Salary
The salary for this position is 60,000 – 90,000 SSP per annum.
