Job Overview

Champs Oils (Pty) Ltd is looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Stores / Stock Controller to join its growing operations team in Mochudi, Botswana. The company specializes in oil blending and packaging and is committed to maintaining high operational standards and product quality.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing stock movement, monitoring inventory levels, handling incoming and outgoing goods, and ensuring accurate stock records to support daily business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Stock Monitoring & Inventory Control

  • Monitor stock levels to ensure availability for operational requirements
  • Conduct routine stock counts and participate in scheduled stock-taking exercises
  • Minimize stock losses, damages, and expiries through proper inventory control
  • Support stock planning and forecasting activities

Receiving & Inspection of Goods

  • Verify incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery documents
  • Inspect deliveries for quantity, quality, and damages
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of received stock into the inventory system

Dispatch & Documentation

  • Prepare and issue stock for dispatch according to approved requisitions
  • Maintain accurate stock documentation including delivery notes and stock sheets
  • Prepare regular stock status and variance reports

Reporting & Communication

  • Report stock shortages, surpluses, and critical stock levels
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth stock operations
  • Support operational efficiency through accurate inventory reporting

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in stock control or inventory management

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong inventory and stock management skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational and record-keeping abilities
  • Knowledge of stock control systems and documentation
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
